Intel has released the latest version of its DCH graphics driver for Windows 10 PCs, bringing the version number up to 27.20.100.8336.
The major highlight of this release is a bugfix for the free-to-play, multiplayer online battle royale Ring of Elysium (Для просмотра ссылки Войди или Зарегистрируйся) on seventh-gen Intel Core processors and newer. Apparently the game would hang or crash, which is supposed to be fixed by this driver. The company adds that optimization work has also been done in the game to make it run better on Intel Iris Plus graphics or better.
There are also a few other bug fixes:
  • Crash or hang on Shadow of the Tomb Raider (DX12) on Seventh gen Intel Core processors and higher
  • Minor graphic anomalies may be seen after Alt + Tab in Doom Eternal (Vulkan)
  • On panel self-refresh 2 (PSR2) displays, internal embedded panel when plugged in may shift after resuming from lid close do nothing on 10th generation Intel Core processors with UHD Graphics.
As usual, a few known issues remain unresolved:
  • Green stripes or artifacts may be seen while previewing composition in Adobe After Effects.
  • Crash may be seen while launching Sony Catalyst Production Suite on 10th Generation Intel Core processors.
  • Minor graphics anomalies may be observed in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege (Vulkan), Battlefield V (DX12), Rage 2 (Vulkan), Star Wars Battlefront 2 (DX12), Rise of the Tomb Raider* (DX12).
Alongside the graphics driver, the package also contains the following:
  • Intel Audio Driver version 10.26.0.9 (6th Gen and related Pentium Silver and Celeron processors), version 10.27.0.9 (7th, 8th, 9th, 10th Gen), and version 11.1.0.16 (10th Gen with Iris Plus Graphics).
  • Intel Media SDK Runtime (10.0.0.016)
  • Intel Graphics Compute Runtime for OpenCL Driver
  • Intel Graphics Command Center (IGCC)
  • Vulkan Runtime Installer
  • OneAPI Level Zero Loader and Validation Layer
  • Intel Graphics Compute Runtime for OneAPI Level Zero specification
Since version 26.20.100.8141, Intel has unlocked the drivers which means they can be installed on top of OEM drivers, however, Intel still recommends its corporate customers to use OEM-provided drivers only.
In terms of compatibility, the latest driver is compatible with most of the hardware previous versions have been compatible with. Those include everything from sixth-generation Intel Core processors up to the current tenth generation, plus Pentium/ Celeron processors with Intel HD Graphics 500, 505, and Intel UHD Graphics 600, 605, as well as Xeon E3-1500M v5 family with Intel HD Graphics P530. In terms of software, it supports Windows 10 version 1709 onwards.
