Remedy building a "Connected Universe" of games, next entry already in production

Remedy Entertainment, the maker of hit titles such as Max Payne, Alan Wake and Control, is Для просмотра ссылки Войдиили Зарегистрируйся of games, something the studio has been working on for more than a decade.
"For over 10 years, we’ve had a crazy dream. The idea that the tales told in some of our games would be connected to each other, a connected world of stories and events with shared characters and lore," said Remedy creative director Sam Lake. "Each game is a stand-alone experience, but each game is also a doorway into a larger universe with exciting opportunities for crossover events."
Control and Alan Wake are now confirmed to be in the same universe, with the former's upcoming AWE expansion set to reintroduce the latter's lost writer to finally continue his storyline. Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound as though Remedy's Quantum Break, the Microsoft platform exclusive time-traveling title, is a part of this universe.
Lake explained that the Federal Bureau of Control had been investigating the events Alan Wake experienced in Bright Falls. In the expansion, Control players will be exploring the sealed depths of the Investigation Sector to uncover its secrets.
The company also confirmed that it is developing a new game set in this Remedy Connected Universe. Although no more details were shared regarding this mysterious project, this should be one of the titles that Epic Games is involved in publishing.
The AWE expansion for Control is releasing on August 27 across PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, arriving exactly a year after the game's launch. For those who are interested, Remedy will be streaming the first 15 minutes of the expansion on August 13 at 9AM PDT on its Для просмотра ссылки Войдиили Зарегистрируйся.
