Microsoft and PepsiCo announce a five-year cloud partnership

PepsiCo, one of the largest snack and beverage corporations worldwide, has announced a partnership with Microsoft to meet the rising demand for its food and beverage business and improve its operations and consumer experiences.
As part of the five-year partnership, Microsoft will be a preferred cloud provider for PepsiCo and the company will migrate its global data estate and SAP landscapes to Azure. PepsiCo will also roll out Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams to all of its 270,000 employees worldwide.
Through the press release, PepsiCo CIO, Seth Cohen said the company will aim to improve service delivery capabilities to meet the rising demand for essential goods with the partnership as well as drive new innovations to improve operations and make the workforce stronger.
While the partnership will help PepsiCo to achieve its operational goals, for Microsoft, this is yet another big customer win in recent times. With 23 brands that generate more than $1 billion each in estimated annual retail sales, PepsiCo is a massive company with a global footprint.
Interestingly, PepsiCo’s main rival, the Coca-Cola Company too signed a similar five-year agreement with Microsoft in April this year.
