Android 11 will still say 5Ge, even if you're not on real 5G

However, it looks like you may still see the 5Ge icon on Android smartphones with Android 11, according toДля просмотра ссылки Войди или Зарегистрируйся spotted by Для просмотра ссылки Войди или Зарегистрируйся.
According to Google, there are three different 5G-related icons that can show up on your phone. If you're connected to a sub-6GHz 5G New Radio network, you'll see the 5G icon, and if you're connected to mmWave, you'll see 5G+, which makes sense considering mmWave networks promise much higher speeds.
However, the 5Ge icon will show up if your phone is using LTE Advanced Pro, which isn't 5G. LTE Advanced Pro is used to refer to 3GPP release 13 and later, and it builds on LTE Advanced technologies such as carrier aggregation, Для просмотра ссылки Войдиили Зарегистрируйся. It's significantly faster than LTE Advanced, which will be denoted by the LTE+ icon on Android 11, but it's still not real 5G.
