Samsung Cloud is deprecating premium storage and other features in favor of OneDrive

Samsung has announced that the company is taking off Gallery Sync and Drive storage features on Samsung smartphones. These Samsung Cloud features will now be supported by Microsoft OneDrive.
Once the transition is done, your data will be deleted and if you have a premium storage subscription plan, this will automatically be canceled, and a refund will be issued to you. Only Gallery Sync, Drive, and Premium storage subscription will be deprecated and you will be able to use other Samsung Cloud features, such as backing up/syncing and restoring other data like Contacts, Calendar, and Notes.
Last year, Samsung and Microsoft had extended their strategic partnership and as part of the same, several popular Microsoft services, including OneDrive, are now deeply integrated on Samsung smartphones.
Samsung will offer a way to migrate your existing Gallery Sync and/or Drive data to OneDrive or you will have the option to download your data to your mobile device or PC. Once the migration or download is done, the data may be deleted prematurely even before the official end date. The ability to move your data to OneDrive though may not be supported in certain countries or device models. Note that if you choose the option to download your data to your mobile or PC, you will not be able to migrate your data to OneDrive.
