For starters, a new coalition dubbed Transform to Net Zero will focus on the sharing of information regarding business transformations that help reduce carbon emissions. Moving on, a new Sustainability Calculator will be provided to cloud customers, so that they can get a detailed look into their scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon emissions.

Microsoft has also announced that its datacenters will be diesel-free by the turn of the decade, enabling it to reduce its scope 1 emissions. Notably, the tech giant worked with electricity retailer Vattenfall last year to develop advanced, sustainable datacenters in Sweden.
