Robby Stein, Instagram's Director of Product, said of the new feature:
Interestingly, its appearance below the “You’re All Caught Up” alert makes it seem like Instagram is toning down its digital well-being initiative. That's because it seems to throw you into an endless feed of content even after seeing every post in the last two days from people you follow. The new feature is launching worldwide from today.“Our goal is to make it clear when you’re all caught up so you can decide how you want to best use your time. We see people continuing to seek out more posts they’re interested in after catching up with their feeds, so we wanted to learn from that and make it easier to go a little deeper for those who choose to do so.”
