Doom Eternal: Ancient Gods Part One lands October 20

The two-part Ancient Gods expansion incoming to Doom Eternal that was announced at QuakeCon earlier this month received a full reveal trailer today during the gamescom Opening Night Live show, giving fans a much larger look at the upcoming single-player content.
The first part of the expansion will have the Doom Slayer confronting yet another ancient evil that has awoken from its slumber following the original campaign's conclusion. id Software promises "never-before-seen locations" to rip and tear through in the expansion, and as seen on the trailer, new demons are incoming to challenge the Slayer as well.
The Ancient Gods, Part One is launching October 20, 2020 across all platforms. This and the yet to be revealed second portion of the expansion will be included in the Doom Eternal Year One Pass, which comes in at $29.99. Just the first part can also be purchased for $19.99 as a standalone experience.
id Software is also bringing Doom Eternal to next-generation platforms Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Although a launch date for this enhanced version hasn't been announced yet, Bethesda will be providing free upgrades to current-gen owners of Doom Eternal.
