Back in March, Microsoft announced a bunch of new features that it plans to bring to its Chromium-based Edge browser, including vertical tabs, a password monitor, and more. As for the mobile versions of the browser, the firm promised to bring Collections – a feature that lets users collate links, text, and other content for later – to iOS and Android.

Users must have version 45.06.2.5042 or higher on Android or version 45.6.2 or higher on iOS to be able to have the feature enabled. The feature was available for a limited set of users in the past for testing and feedback purposes and should now be rolling out to all users.

Collections can be accessed by clicking on the three-dot (…) menu in the browser and hitting the Collections icon. The items in the list sync with the browser version and can be accessed from the phone. The menu also lets users create a new collection on mobile by clicking on the plus icon. The Collections drawer can also be collapsed into a shorter view to compare links and other content and quickly access the drawer.

Users can add a new webpage to a collection from the collapsed drawer by tapping on the plus icon or through the ellipsis (…) menu by tapping on the ‘Add to collection’ icon. The items in the list can also be organized. This is done via the ‘edit’ button on iOS and by tapping the ‘…’ icon associated with an item on Android. As usual, the update that brings this feature for Edge on iOS and Android will be staggered, which means that it may not show up for all users right away.
