Early last year, Apple held a special event where it presented a new focus on subscription services.
During the event, it announced Apple News+, Apple TV+, and Apple Arcade, which joined Apple Music in the company's portfolio of subscriptions. While the efforts launched throughout last year, a potential problem with them is that combining all of the services can add up to a significant cost, so it was reported in November that Apple was preparing to offer a bundle with a few of those services in one package.
Now, Bloomberg is doubling down on that original report, stating that Apple is preparing to launch Apple One, which is not only a single package, but rather a set of bundles. While it's not completely clear what kind of bundles will be available, it would seem that customers can combine the different subscriptions services at will, forming a subscription package that includes specific services.
The goal is, naturally, to make Apple's services more compelling by providing at an overall lower price. The company hasn't been overly open about the success of its services, but some news outlets have stated that they're not happy with their relationship with Apple News+. On the other hand, Apple Music has been reported to be doing fairly well in the past. The subscriptions bundles could help rope customers into the remainder of Apple services.
According to the report, the new subscriptions bundles are planned to launch alongside the new iPhone devices in October.
