Apple is releasing the fifth developer betas of iOS 14, iPadOS 14, watchOS 7, and tvOS 14 today, or in other words, there are new builds of everything except macOS Big Sur. As you'd expect, there are once again a bunch of fixes included, as we're now just a month or two away from the public releases. Beta 5 is usually where things start to get pretty stable.

The only bad news is that Apple hasn't bothered to post the release notes just yet. There's no way of knowing exactly what's new. Along with fixes, there are likely some refined features in there, and one thing that we're still waiting for is the ability to set third-party browsers and email clients as the default.

A lot of what we're going to see in these updates has to do with visual improvements, including a major overhaul in iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. They're getting all-new, redesigned widgets, and on iOS, you can finally add them to your home screen. iOS also finally comes with an app drawer, so you don't have to fit a bunch of apps in a junk folder.

These updates usually roll out toward the end of September, but they may be delayed a bit thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.
